The Kennel Technician is responsible for managing the dogs, front desk, and ensuring that the clients have a pleasant experience. This position is also responsible for caring for the dogs such as grooming, walking, feeding, medicating, cleaning up after, bathing and other general husbandry duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Cleaning/tidying the training center, and any area where training took place
- Calling and booking potential training clients
- Positively interacting with clients in person, via email/text/phone.
- Interact with the dogs in a safe manner
- Feed the dogs based on any dietary needs
- Medicate the dogs as needed
- Dog baths and nail trims
- Taking dogs to assigned areas for potty breaks
- Perform a wide range of cleaning duties, including but not limited to cleaning the floors, food dishes, eliminations and equipment in accordance with dog facility care standards
- Keep track of daily schedule for trainers, walks, meals, and break times
- Manage the dog’s personal belongings such as leash, food items, and toys
- Assist with preparing the dog for pick up
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have a love for dogs and a keen sense for animal safety.
- Must be observant. Mention the word "radiant" in your cover letter
- Lift 50+ pounds.
- Knowledge of dog maintenance and care
- Be a team player and hard worker
- Must be coachable
- Must be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Possess basic knowledge of workplace sanitation and safety procedures

The employee is regularly exposed to unusual elements, such as high temperatures, dirt, dust, humidity, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Other hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts from scratches, slipping, tripping, and falls. The employee is frequently required to sustain contact and immersion of hands in water and sanitation solutions, and is frequently expected to wash their hands. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
