Lead Kennel/Office Technician

Golden Wood is currently looking for a LEAD Kennel/Office person.

Pay: $20-$24 once tips are added on.

(Tips will be applied to you once you pass the training process which can average an extra $4-$8/hour.)

Applicants must be detail oriented and able to multitask. Golden Wood strives for top quality care provided to our customer’s pets. Excellent husbandry and attention to detail is a MUST! The care of the pets boarding here is a top priority and they must be cared for daily, including nights, weekends, holidays, and during all weather conditions. Start pay is based upon your experience and your performance during your working interview.

Requirements:

Customer service experience

Experience leading a team well

Knowledge of basic dog care and grooming such as baths and nail trims

Handling all breeds and sizes of dogs comfortably

Handling pets with anxiety and fear driven qualities

Veterinary or previous kennel experience is a PLUS!

Job duties for kennel tech include:

Basic kennel tech duties:

• This includes: spraying disinfectant, scrubbing surfaces, rinsing, and drying. You will be required to kneel, bend, and have full range of motion in your arms.
• Also includes: picking up poop, urine, vomit, food, leaves, and sticks as well as removing snow and ice from runs.

Feeding, Watering, and Medicating

Playtimes, Nature Walks, and Additional Services

• These are performed in inclement and cold weather conditions as well as in the summer time during hot temperatures.

Bathing, trimming nails, and cleaning ears

Job duties for office tech include:

Understanding/learning our software (Gingr)

Answering phone calls, replying to emails

Checking customers in/out with professional and friendly greeting

Helping to oversee pet and customer issues - making sure everything gets resolved

Expectations for leadership include:

Gaining the trust of your coworkers & manager - where they desire for you to lead

Leading with character not just skill

Supporting the leadership of the assistant manager

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
