Kennel Technician (Closing Shift And Weekends)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team and work the Closing Shift from 4-6PM as well as weekend! You will be responsible for the evening tuck in, facility cleaning and sanitation, as well as daily care and well-being of the animals at our facility, providing them a home away from home. We are looking for enthusiastic team members that work hard and bring a positive attitude each day. Dependability is key to success in this position.

We are currently seeking either a part-time or full-time candidates. Part-time should be available for a minimum 15 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

• Final potty breaks, walks, play yards, tuck ins of all pets in the facility.
• Cleaning all rooms in the facility for shut down including doing all remaining dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down countertops, cleaning tubs, etc.
• Preparing sanitary areas for the next days team including changing mop heads, water, sanitation dipping zones, etc.
• Completing final spray out of runs and final cleaning of suite and cat enclosures.
• Ensuring all pets have clean enclosures and water according to facility standards for the evening.
• Upholding the sanitation and care process daily at or above the standards of the facility.
• Handle general care tasks such as feeding, walking, playtime, bathing and basic brush outs of the animals
• Cleaning/Sanitizing kenneling facilities and equipment multiple times daily according to the standards of the facility
• Responsible for the care, contentment and welfare of the animals in the facility
• Keep records of animal feedings, exercise, and other updates
• Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals daily.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Work well with other teammates and demonstrates professionalism

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in animal care or other related fields a plus
• If applying for part-time must be available to work 15+ hours per work week. Hours can increase during peak holiday and summer season. Ability to move to full-time hours during holidays and Weekends.
• Full-time associates work 40 hours a week.
• We are open on weekends and holidays so availability to work these days is a must. A vacation black out period during peak season from May 21 - Sept 14 is included.
