SalaryCat’s Corner Veterinary Hospital in Oxford, CT is looking for an experienced, hardworking, energetic, enthusiastic, and friendly Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Attendant.
We are a feline dedicated practice, so experience handling cats is a must.
Previous experience in a similar position or as a Kennel Attendant is preferred but not required for the right individual. The ideal candidate holds good attention to detail, great communication skills, working with others, self-starting, ability to lift 50 lbs, and being comfortable with general hospital maintenance (such as changing light bulbs, fixing things that break, and troubleshooting electronic devices).
The primary duties as a Kennel Attendant/assistant are to assist the veterinary technicians and veterinarians with appointments and procedures, help maintain hospital cleanliness and sterility, and ensure excellent customer service both on the phone and in person, and caring for patients staying in our hospital and boarding facility.
