Kennel Attendant

Responsibilities:

-Bathing, brushing and drying of pets
- Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
- Assist with feeding, grooming, and exercise routines for dogs and other animals
- Clean and maintain kennel areas, including disinfecting kennels and equipment
- Monitor animal behavior and report any signs of illness or distress to staff
- Assist with administering medications and treatments as directed by staff
- Handle animals safely and securely during check-ins, check-outs, and throughout their stay
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, answering questions and addressing concerns

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is a plus
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods of time
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners and staff
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed

Skills:
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely
- Customer service skills for interacting with pet owners
- Basic understanding of animal care practices and procedures

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
