Kennel Assistant/Puppy Socializer & Dog Care/Breeding Assistant

EXPERIENCE WITH MULTIPLE DOGS IN A PACK SETTING (KENNEL ENVIRONMENT REQUIRED OR EXPERIENCE WITH MULTIPLE DOGS, 10+ AT A TIME)

MUST LOVE DOGS AND ADORE PUPPIES!! MUST SHOW IN YOUR INTERACTION WITH THEM.

DON'T MIND GETTING DIRTY FROM HAPPY DOGS.

WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CARE OF DOGS AND PUPPIES AS WELL AS THEIR PLAY AND SLEEP AREAS/YARDS.

CONFIDENT AND COMFORTABLE WITH YOURSELF AND OTHERS.

MUST BE TIMELY AND HAVE YOUR OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.

MUST LOVE TO CLEAN, BE DETAIL ORIENTED AND SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF HARD WORK!!

MUST BE ABLE TO EITHER OPEN AT 7AM OR CLOSE TILL 9PM!!

We are a breeding/show kennel of Golden Retrievers in Newcastle. First and foremost, please only apply if you are okay working with an ethical breeder. We have wonderful families who adopt our dogs and I must have someone who can stand behind our vision of bringing wonderful healthy puppies to our families that purchase them. We are looking for someone who adores dogs and can help with the upkeep of the facility. Puppy and adult dog care as well as cleaning/sanitizing all dog/puppy areas. Have experience with puppies and dogs, kennel care and have references and be very trustworthy. I am looking for someone who is a SELF STARTER, does not mind getting dirty or doing dirty jobs with a lot of energy and desire to keep our environment clean and sanitized. You should be able to see what needs to be done and just do it, after training. We are not looking for someone who needs direction all the time. Consistency is everything in this job, being here when you are scheduled and being on time is highly important. You MUST be a positive person. If you tend to be someone who cannot see the bright side of things, have trouble being on time, or taking direction, please do not apply. You should be good with your hands, have stamina, be strong, work quickly and efficiently. We feed a raw food diet to our dogs/puppies and you will need to be comfortable feeding large dogs and puppies . You will be exercising/socializing the dogs and socializing the puppies. We have professional trainers but ideally you will work with trainers as needed and when time allows. If you have dog training experience, this is a huge plus!

Part time hours are somewhat flexible but will include at least either opening at 7am OR closing at 9pm. (Example: 7am-12pm OR 4pm-9pm with some flexibility to amount of hours per day)

Full time position is Monday through Friday either opening at 7am OR closing till 9pm .

Consistency is very important in this job and required. We are a family environment and will require references.
