Kennel Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and maintenance for animals in the kennel
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal living areas
- Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations, procedures, and grooming sessions
- Walk dogs and provide exercise and socialization opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications, and any observed changes in behavior or health

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting is preferred
- Knowledge of animal care practices and basic veterinary procedures
- Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, including restraining larger or more energetic animals
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners, veterinary staff, and other team members
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Flexibility to work during the week, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed

- Must be available to work mainly the morning shifts and weekends.
