The position assists the technical staff and veterinarians as needed to provide a safe and well maintained environment for our patients and team.
Job Responsibilities

• Assisting surgery technician's with recovery of patients
• Performing frequent temperature, pulse, and respiration monitioring on all recoverying surgical patients
• Commucniating patient recovery status to technicians and/or DVMs
• Taking patients out for walks or breaks
• Daily and regularly cleaning and sanitizing of kennels and treatment
• Unpacking and stocking inventory including pharmacy medications, medical equipment, and hospital supplies
• Washing, drying, and folding hospital laundry
• Vacuuming and or mopping treatment, rooms, offices and surgical floors
• Emptying trash
• Cleaning outside potty station and surrounding area
• Cleaning and sanitizing hospital rooms including: surgery, treatment, and bathrooms
• Holding and restraining patients for staff
• Escorting patients to cars, lobby, or rooms
• Filling prescriptions under the supervision of veterinary staff
• Assisting technical staff and veterinarians as needed

Skills and Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in a veterinary clinic environment, including the use of euthanasia.
• Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time and assist with restraint of patients.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

Pay $17.29-$18.50/hour
