PETS Emergency Hospital located in Greeley, CO is looking for a full-time Kennel Technician to join our emergency team!
Technician/Assistant
Responsibilities will include:
GENERAL
- Follow PEH protocols for cleaning, disinfecting, and safety
- Must be able to lift over 40 pounds
FACILITY
- Help keep front entrance clean and free of debris
- Monitor snow removal, shovel walkways when needed, apply ice-melt
- Monitor and maintain waiting/reception area – restock coffee bar, Kleenex, empty trash, treat station, etc.
- Clean and maintain client and staff bathrooms
- Clean and maintain pet courtyard
- Clean and disinfect kennels and cages
- Help with exam room turn-over – cleaning/disinfecting between cases, restocking, etc.
- Clean and maintain treatment area – walkways clear of debris (sweep & mop floors, wipe surfaces with disinfectant, trash removed, equipment returned when unused to appropriate storage, etc.
- Spot clean various areas – as needed
LAUNDRY
- Clean and maintain laundry room
- Keep laundry equipment clean; lint traps, door seals, exteriors, etc.
- Collect dirty laundry for cleaning
- Process laundry as indicated (normal vs. infectious vs. surgical)
- Fold laundry and distribute to appropriate areas for use and/or storage
- Sort and dispose of damaged linen
- Stock laundry in treatment area
- Monitor and report laundry product inventory needs (detergent, dryer sheets, etc.)
ANIMAL CARE
- May assist in providing food, water, exercise, toileting for hospitalized patients under the direction of lead technician or DVM on duty
- Observe and report any concerns for animal well-being, change in condition, etc
- Maintain safe interactions at all times
OTHER
- Assist with various facilities department projects as time allows or as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Assist with monitoring inventory needs – keeping facility well supplied
- Assist with processing client personal belongings – tagging, tracking, etc.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with a hourly pay rate starting at $14.42- $15/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
