Job Description
Longwood Gardens is seeking part-time PreK–12 Educators. Educators are responsible for teaching and leading various educational programs with groups in our Gardens (rain or shine), within the community and virtually. Team members work with a variety of groups within different programs including: PreK-12 school groups (including on-site field trips, virtual field trips, and off-site at schools), Scout groups, community and youth groups, youth workshops, outreach events, teen volunteers, families and teachers.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in education with two or more years of experience teaching PreK–12 children or working within the child development & family studies field. Additional requirements include:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with all age levels.
- Flexibility to work shifts during the day both weekdays and weekends with some possible evenings, as assigned
- Flexibility to work 2-4 hour shifts, as assigned.
- A passion for nature and plants is a plus.
- Walking long distances with program materials is required.
- Experience teaching via Zoom or related platforms

- Completing Act 153 clearances and drug test.
