OVERVIEW:
Alo is hiring a Jr. Video Editor to join our growing in-house video department. This position is a full-time gig and will be filled with the right candidate asap. The Jr. Video Editor will work directly with our Lead Editor and Post Production Supervisor to create luxury level video content. Our team shoots and edits a wide range of projects weekly. From high-fashion editorials to seasonal campaigns from all over the world. We also produce in-studio social ads, artist and athlete spotlights, beauty and wellness initiatives, ecomm and more. Enjoy the best editing experience offered! We provide the newest, most powerful and stunningly visual editing stations to date. Even experience your cuts on the big screen with our full-size, in-office movie theater. RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assist our lead editor in finishing projects to spec and on-time including crops, subtitles, etc.
- Apply and adjust motion graphic treatments when needed.
- Edit ecomm and other Midfunnel projects.
- Stay up on the newest editing tools — from tik-tok trends to AI techniques.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams and freelancers (music producers, sound designers, etc.)
- Follow and apply new processes to develop an organized and unified post-production workflow.
- Assemble project coming off of shoot for lead editor.
- Organize our growing library of footage and other video assets.
- Willing to travel and load and edit footage on-set if ever needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a video portfolio showcasing interesting work.
- 2 years of professional video editing experience (short-form social / digital content preferred).
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite esp Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder.
- Understanding of Davinci Resolve is a major plus!
- Technical understanding of other supporting post-pro applications and plug-ins.
- Knowledge on a NAS system multi-user post production work flow.
- Proficient with Mac and other Apple products.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and 2D animation (higher level of ability is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of audio mixing and sound design (higher level of ability is a plus).
- Interested in the fashion and wellness space.
- Able to take direction, constructive feedback and eager to learn.
- Ambitious and creative outlook.
The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
