We are looking for full-time Software Engineers to join our team of 100+ employees in San Diego, CA. In our collaborative and solution-based environment, you will build creative web services, applications, and databases with software experts. Salary: $81,000.00 – $90,000.00 annually, depending on relevant professional experience.
Position Classification and schedule: Exempt, full-time, and requires working at the San Diego, CA office and/or Lab up to 3x per week or as needed.
Availability during core business hours is a requirement, and willingness to work from the office for the initial two months of training is essential.

Position Summary:
In our autonomous and collaborative environment, Software Engineers are involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle - planning, development, testing, installation, and supporting live systems. As a Software Engineer, you may routinely use Java, Python, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, and SELinux for this project. The ideal candidate is in San Diego, CA, with one or more years of professional experience and very good documentation habits.
Duties:
- Unit-level and system-level testing.
- Ability to navigate a code base to find a class with little guidance.
- Understanding of basic git commands and version control.
- Use Agile-based development techniques.
- Ability to perform “peer reviews.”
- Ability to design/update features based on client feedback.
- Develop capabilities and design code with “end user” needs in mind.
- Object-oriented design/development or functional design/development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible for a “Secret” level clearance Security Clearance.
- Must be willing and able to work at the classified lab and attend meetings as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Development, Engineering, Information Technology, etc., or similar technical-based disciplines.
- At least one year of professional experience in Software Engineering, development, deployment, or sustainment experience with software-intensive systems and technologies.
- At least one year of professional experience developing software using Java, Python, Go, Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, HTML, ansible, or equivalent technologies.
- Although there is some flexibility, generally, employees work 40 hours per week during the core hours, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. PST.
- Will be required to obtain and maintain Security+ and Linux+ certifications.
- Must successfully complete Moebius-designed Python technical assessment and participate in two virtual technical interviews.
