NYC DDC enters into contracts with utility companies which are joint bid and not Joint bid projects in nature. DDC undertakes utility interference work which involve accommodation, reconstruction, relocation, alteration & adjustment of utility line. In the process DDC pays to contractor utility related work completed under the projects and claims reimbursement from utility company for the amount paid. DDC collects millions dollar per year for joint bid & not joint bid projects from utility companies.
Under the arrangement, the NYC is obligated to pay the contractor for the entire project, including the necessary utility interference work. The utility companies, in turn, must reimburse the city for the amount allocated by the contractor for the utility interference work.
Job responsibilities:
- Make determinations as to balances owed by utility companies to NYC based upon analysis of payment history, time records, and EAO payment reports.
- Prepare bills for joint bid projects with supporting documentation based on quantity of items, extras and credits for construction projects using cover sheets, items, extras and credits of PIMS/PDMS system.
- Prepare Billing Summary Spreadsheet indicating invoices sent to companies and payments received from companies based upon analysis of rates and hours worked.
- Prepare invoice with supporting documentation based on time sheets and other expenses for Resident Engineering Inspection (REI) and Force Account (FA) projects.
- Work with the process of entering Billed Receivables (RE) and Cash Receipts (CRE) and Revenue Refund (PRF1) into FMS.

1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
Preferred Skills
Candidate must have proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel, excellent organizational, verbal and written skills.
