Junior Radiation Effects Analyst

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Familiarity with radiation environments representative of space flight (TID: Co60, SEE: Heavy ion, Proton, etc.)
• Assist in radiation test planning efforts, including cost estimation/quoting and test design
• Actively participate in radiation test execution (may be onsite or remote)
• Prepare radiation test reports, including analysis of collected radiation test data using appropriate radiation environment models and tools
• Review Build of Materials, assessing radiation risk of selected components

Required Skills:

Strong understanding and application of statistical methods

Strong experience in technical writing, including use of MS Excel, Word, etc.

Experience in using one or more radiation transport analysis (eg. GEANT4, MCNPX, NOVICE)

Experience in using one of more radiation rate calculation software (eg. SpaceRadiation, Crème 96, Spenvis)

Experience with radiation environment modeling tools

Knowledge/experience in the effects of radiation on materials and components

Experience in design and/or analysis of digital and analog circuits

Knowledge/experience in the effects of radiation on materials and components

2-4 years of Radiation Effects experience in design, analysis, and testing.

FPGA design experience

Python and/or LabVIEW code development experience

PCB board design experience

Pay: $85,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
