Job Description
Perform analytical testing of pharmaceutical products following cGMP, GLP, and corporate policies and work either independently or as a team to achieve company goals and initiatives.
Description of KEY Responsibilities:
- Follow established laboratory safety procedures.
- Analyze samples using appropriate instrumentation (depending on level, some or all of the following would apply - HPLC, GC, UV, IR, KF, pH, etc.) while following current Methods & Procedures (SOPs).
- Process and report HPLC instrumental analysis using the Empower data processing software.
- Process and report other instrumental analyses using the instrument-specific data processing software.
- Document all activities in a legible manner following established formats and procedures.
- Identify and troubleshoot problems with instrumentation and analytical preparations.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Chemistry, or BS in a Related Science
- Minimum 1 - 3 years in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment
Skills and Specific Knowledge Required:
- Knowledge of cGMPs.
- Knowledge of compendia procedures (i.e., USP, NF, BP, etc.)
- Possess good written and oral communication skills.
- Exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Office- Word and Excel.
- Possess strong mathematical skills - fractions, percentages, ratios and algebraic expressions.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- 60% standing, walking.
- 40% sitting.
- Vision accuracy and color detection are required for this position.
