POSITION SUMMARY:
Investigate, establish and implement requirements for inspection and testing methods, techniques, equipment and facilities. Determined frequency and allowable variations from specifications at various stages of the manufacturing process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
- Set-up of part files in manufacturing control system;
- Complete quarterly supplier ratings and provide feedback to suppliers;
- Participates on the implementation of action plans from internal NC and customer complaints;
- Participates in the update of the QMS procedures related with inspection activities;
- Creates and updates grammatically correct and understandable procedures based on the changes given in the Engineering Change Request;
- Maintains manufacturing part processing files including comparing part drawing revision levels to available documentation and specs.;
- Support in the development of FMEA's, Qualification plans, control plans, inspection methods, sampling, etc., in new product/process development;
- Direct and facilitate FMEAs for plant specific and generic processes. Maintain AQP documentation in line with process improvements;
- Updates departmental procedures and work instructions;
- Review and track open Engineering Change Requests to log;
- Maintain current third-party certifications for Approved Supplier List; and
- Quality systems auditor to ISO standards.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
B.A./B.S. degree with 2 years of related work experience. Specific training in Quality System/Audits and problem solving desired.
