Responsibilities:
- Work with vendors or internal partners to set-up new test equipment in the lab & drive until readiness.
- Manage equipment calibration and maintenance, including upgrading the software & hardware.
- Manage and operate thermal chambers & various mechanical precision fixtures.
- Write equipment operating manuals and maintenance procedures.
- Perform tests and generate raw data, including early data review for accuracy and process the data, as needed.
- Prepare test samples and debug issues in the Lab & resolve them, perform housekeeping, and organize accessories.
Minimum Qualifications
- Formal education in optics, photonics, imaging quality, physics or equivalent
- Some experience in optical/Imaging instrumentation, including, setting up & running optical/Imaging test equipment in Lab environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, attention to details, problem-solving & debugging.
Good to have skills:
- Hands on with LEDs, Wave guides, & AR/VR devices or other digital imaging systems.
- Knowledge of color science and visual optics, experience with optical performance evaluation, data analysis and report generation.
- Experience with programming in Python, C++ or other equivalent programming languages
- Experience designing test equipment and following validation best practices
- Experience working with EE, ME, FW, SW, and other cross-functional teams
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
