Junior Logistician Position Requirements:
- At least 2 years of Navy Logistics / supply chain experience
- Some knowledge of Navy, federal, state, and/or local environmental policies and procedures
- Prior to start, we will conduct a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
- Previous Navy enlisted Logistics Specialists (LS or AK or SK) are desired
- Navy ERP user experience in material management and/or warehouse management is desired
- A Bachelor’s degree is desired
Junior Logistician Primary Responsibilites Include:
- Ashore and Afloat CHRIMP implementation and operational sustainment
- HAZMAT Locker Assessment
- HAZMAT Control, Warehousing and Inventory Accuracy
- HAZMAT assistance, training and Ship-to-Shore Offload support
- Afloat HAZMAT IT Systems functional support and training
- HAZMAT Automated Information Technology (AIT) functional support and training
- HAZMAT data collection, performance metrics coordination and reporting
The Naval Supply Systems Command is the Navy’s lead organization for Hazardous Material Management including Pollution Prevention (P2) and Hazardous Material Control and Management (HMC&M) Programs. The goal of HMM is to manage HAZMAT in order to reduce Hazardous Waste (HW) generation and disposal costs. Services include support for Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP) operations, HAZMAT IT systems such as Navy ERP and Automated Information Technology (AIT) deployment and sustainment. CHRIMP is the Navy's tool for ashore and afloat life-cycle HAZMAT management to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and mandates procedures to control, track, and reduce HAZMAT. Procedures include HAZMAT identification, segregation, storage; inventory accuracy; shelf-life management; material offload and turn-in for reuse or disposal.
The scope of the contract includes all HMM to support compliance, including Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), the Pollution Protection (P2) Act, and Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) statutes. Methods and tools used include Authorized Use List (AUL) Safety Data Sheet (SDS) management, Fleet support, training, HQ Program Management, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Hazardous Material Center (HMC) operations at NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Centers (FLC) and HAZMAT Offload support for Regional CHRIMP Centers (RCC).

The compensation range for a Junior Logistician position is $45,000 - $70,000 annually
Travel:
25-50% of the year
