Responsibilities:
Kearney and Company is seeking a Junior Intelligence Analyst for Counterintelligence and Insider Threat is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify potential insider threats and counterintelligence risks within the organization. This position involves leveraging a variety of sources and methods to proactively detect, assess, and mitigate risks posed by malicious insiders and external actors seeking to compromise Kearney’s security.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Threat Assessment and Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of internal and external threats, focusing on identifying potential insider threats and counterintelligence risks.
Evaluate data from various sources to determine the credibility, motivation, and capabilities of potential threat actors.
Insider Threat Detection:

Utilize advanced analytical techniques and tools to monitor, detect, and assess anomalous activities or behaviors that may indicate insider threats.
Develop behavioral profiles and indicators to identify potential risks associated with employees, contractors, or partners.
Investigation and Incident Response:

Participate in investigations related to potential insider threats, conduct interviews, and gather relevant information to support resolution and prevention efforts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement incident response plans and strategies.
Threat Intelligence and Reporting:

Stay informed about emerging threats, tactics, and trends in counterintelligence and insider threat landscape.
Prepare detailed threat intelligence reports, threat briefings, and recommendations to enhance organizational security measures.

Information Sharing and Collaboration:
Collaborate with external intelligence and law enforcement agencies, industry peers, and internal stakeholders to share threat intelligence and best practices.
Actively participate in intelligence sharing forums and networks to enhance organizational resilience against threats.
Security Program Enhancement:

Provide recommendations to enhance the organization's security policies, procedures, and practices based on intelligence analysis and insights.
Support the development and implementation of security awareness and training programs to educate employees on insider threat risks and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Intelligence Studies, Security Studies, Criminal Justice, or related discipline.
  • Previous experience in intelligence analysis, counterintelligence, insider threat detection, or related roles is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in utilizing intelligence tools, databases, and analytical techniques for threat assessment and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of counterintelligence principles, tradecraft, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with OSINT platforms, data analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., ONTIC, Skopenow, Palantir, Tableau, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Counterintelligence Threat Analyst (CCTA), Certified Insider Threat Analyst (CITA), or similar credentials.
