Junior to Mid Level Java Developer for FX team
Looking for Core Java candidates with minimum 2 years of professional experience. Strong academic record, ideally with a good degree and a mathematical or scientific background.
The technology team is responsible for building and maintaining the pricing platform. This involves market data consumption, pricing algorithmics, high frequency message publication and MIS generation.
The overriding aim of the group is to deliver solutions to the business in the most effective way. The responsibility of the team currently includes but is not limited to: -
Support of existing market making application
Development and support of new features and functionality as required by the business
This is a hands on development role that will offer exposure to the full development cycle, whilst working closely with the front office business
Key Responsibilities
Analysis and development for the FX business
Maintain existing pricing application
Deliver new server and client components as per evolving business requirements
Discuss requirements with the business
Demos of completed software to the business
Second line support (investigation of problems that front-line support cannot resolve)
Knowledge/Experience:
2 years of experience as a Java developer
Knowledge of Foreign Exchange Financial Products useful but not essential
Unix/Linux
Multi-threading
Real-time high frequency, low latency messaging work would be a plus point
KDB/Q knowledge would be a plus point
Qualifications:
Strong academic record, ideally with a good degree and a mathematical or scientific background.

Willingness to learn
Excellent planning and organizational skills
