JOB SUMMARY
The Junior Financial Analyst will analyze data from different financial and information systems to build tools and optimize processes that improve decision making resulting in increased profitability. This individual will work together with the MIS team to provide support and visibility of financials to the front office business managers.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION
The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data, identify trends, and create reports to support business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, dashboards and reports using Excel, SQL, and other tools.
  • Assist in the preparation of in-depth cost and profitability analysis of business lines, customers, generating offices, etc.
  • Respond to ad-hoc/special requests for financial data and analyses, ensuring accurate and timely input for key decision makers.
  • Responsible for collaborating in the monthly management reporting and analysis of the financial results.
  • Assist Gestion team with BAU reporting.
  • Proactively work with the MIS team and RPA tools to further automate the monthly processes to improve financial accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Update and maintain the department's process manuals.
  • Responsible for responding to internal inquiries and investigations regarding P&L breakdown.
  • Ongoing evaluation to streamline processes and improve effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with programmers in the development of new reporting tools.
  • Provide support to IT as needed with the IT modernization project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like accounting and treasury.
  • Continuously learn and develop skills and knowledge in finance and data analysis.
Other responsibilities:
  • Filing and other organization of information.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned.
  • Must have regular and predictable attendance and work the hours and/or shifts assigned, particularly during regular business hours, to communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and customers with whom interaction is required to accomplish and complete work assignments and meet company goals within established deadlines.
  • Must maintain courteous, professional, and effective internal and external working relationships.
  • Ability to understand, speak (fluently), read, and write in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees.
  • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position.
  • Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
  • Travel as required.
  • Provide coverage for other positions as requested.
  • Ability to carry and lift boxes and/or other objects that may weigh between 10 and 25 pounds.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
COMPUTER:
Ability to operate IBM compatible personal computers; fluency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft PowerBI and Google Suite at an intermediate level. Ability to operate AS400 is preferred, but not required. Preferred ability to use other software as follows: RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field such as statistics or economics preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
N/A
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years of related experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
Database management and SQL experience preferred.
