What You'll Work On

• Ensure adequate financial and system controls are established and maintained consistent with Abbott policies and procedures as well as generally accepted accounting principles.
• Develop accurate and consistent financial data and present such data in a clear and concise manner thereby enhancing the management decision making process.
• Ensure protection and proper use of company assets. Promote and maintain compliance with Abbott policies and procedures and external requirements (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley).
• Provide all financial planning, analysis and accounting support to the Global Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain Organization overall to achieve strategic and day-to-day business objectives.
• Provide financial leadership, business expertise and guidance to VP Nutrition Global Supply Chain and his staff with a particular focus on supporting the AN objective of significant Gross Margin improvement.
• Set the appropriate financial direction ensuring the proper reflection of financial results and forecasts, and ensuring the functionality, accuracy, and security of entity assets.
• Provide proper reporting, analysis and follow-up of actual financial results for the Global Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain Org.
• Coordinate, consolidate, and manage the development of Plans/Updates for the Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain Org. including standards (TPM's), capital, expense budgets, and headcount.
• Working in conjunction with Supply Chain Management, develop and implement financial and operational measurement tools (KPIs) focusing on productivity and customer services improvements.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant CFM policies and procedures for financial systems.
• Ensure compliance with free trade zone, customs, duties, and foreign exchange laws and regulations.
• Function as primary financial support to VP Global Supply Chain.
• Provide leadership, direction, guidance, and development to Global Supply Chain Financial staff.
• Provide financial support to ANI/RPD overall and to the DVP and Controller - ANI/RPD.
• Serve in leadership capacity and key as a contributor in strategy development and all aspects of execution for Manufacturing Network Optimization programs, Gross Margin Improvement, Program Management projects with particular emphasis on supporting emerging market expansion strategies, and Global Inventory initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Reading, writing and mathematical skills are a prerequisite for this job.
• Familiarity in the use of hand tools (wrenches, lubrication devices, micrometers, calipers, etc) Forktruck/handtruck, filling and packaging equipment.
• Minimum Amount of Related Experience: 6 Months
