Junior Estimator

Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Analyze project requirements and develop detailed cost breakdowns
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid to create comprehensive project estimates
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive pricing
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations
- Prepare and submit formal proposals to clients
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques
- Proficiency in using estimating software, such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar tools
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
- Solid understanding of project management principles and practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
