To better support projectand client development in the Salt Lake City area, you will work in ourmultidisciplinary office and will be part of a team of professionals committedto the success of our mandates. The existing team, whichworks closely with our offices in the greater Montréal area and Vancouver, isactively involved in developing the region and in carrying out various projectsin the mining and metals sector.
As such, the firm is lookingfor a candidate to fill the position of Junior Automation Engineer (orTechnician), or an engineer in training (EIT). Since the office is locatedclose to our clients, you will have various opportunities to perform sitesurveys, provide technical support to local clients, participate incommissioning new equipment and systems, and work on small and large projects.Additionally, you will benefit from BBA's North American network of recognizedexperts to support you in completing mandates and in your professionaldevelopment.

• Be an integralpart of an Automation team and work with other disciplines and drafters tocomplete mandates.
• Prepareplans and specifications as well as detailed engineering deliverables (pipingand instrumentation diagrams, location drawings, I/O, loop and motor controldiagrams, lists of cables and instruments, installation details).
• Draftreports, plans and specifications, construction and purchasing specifications,and calls for tenders.
• Preparetechnical data sheets and select instruments (flow, pressure, level) andcontrol valves.
• Helpwith programming (PLCs, operator interfaces).
• Developand maintain sustainable relationships with clients.
• Listento clients and meet their high expectations.
• Performonsite technical information surveys.
• Assistmore experienced staff with the technical aspects of more complex tasks.
• Participatein onsite technical audits.
• Helpsupervise the work and commissioning of the designed systems.
• Helpprepare proposals.
• Participatein various project phases, from studies and detailed engineering to sitesupport and commissioning.

Overview of certifications andjob requirements

• Universitydegree or technical diploma in Automated Production engineering or Electricalengineering
• Threeyears or less of experience
• Excellentknowledge of MS Office Suite, like Excel, and other applications, databases andinterfaces
• Experiencein Instrumentation and Control design
• Experiencein control systems programming (PLC,SCADA, VFD)
• Drivinglicense
• Asset:participation in detailed engineering of a project in the mining sector.
