Job description

Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our growing team ideally in Toronto (Ontario) or Louisville (Colorado),however, other locations in the United States or Canada will be considered. As an Energy Efficiency Engineer with Resource Innovations, you will be responsible for technical support services for the Advisory Services Group business unit, working on Energy Efficiency program planning, delivery and evaluation, with a focus on engineering and analysis support.
Specific responsibilities will include performing energy engineering services for utility and end-use clients, performing Energy Efficiency calculations, conducting site visits and audits (ASHRAE I, II), installing field monitoring equipment, and other related tasks. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Junior engineering and analysis support: energy analyses, field work, data collection, project research, etc.
  • Conduct primary and secondary data collection efforts as well as data analysis.
  • Conduct measurement and verification (M&V) activities for installed Energy Efficiency measures.
  • Support impact evaluations and cost-effectiveness analyses for Energy Efficiency programs.
  • Assist with the development of data collection instruments.
  • Support and assist with input for technical report writings; contribute to draft reports, including results and actionable recommendations.
  • Support senior staff with development of presentations, papers and proposals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on Energy Efficiency / energy management.
  • An understanding of building systems, energy end uses and equipment, thermodynamics, and heat transfer, specific in commercial and industrial sectors.
  • 1+years of experience in an energy-related field, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills are mandatory.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.

Desired:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Energy assessments, analysis of energy data, and/or Measurement and Verification experience is desirable.
  • Experience in energy modeling is a plus.
  • Experience preparing draft reports detailing analytical findings.

The compensation range for this exempt position is $45,000- $80,000. The stated range is based on a good faith estimate of the compensation range for the duties, responsibilities and skills / experience required for the position. Starting pay will be dependent on experience and internal equity. This provided range may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, especially with industry experience.
