About This Opportunity
We are seeking an Energy EfficiencyOutreach Engineer (Project Engineer)
The Outreach Engineer (OE) works directly with our clients to assess their operations and identify opportunities for maximizing Energy Efficiency and performance in industrial systems. The OE takes a consultative role and is responsible for engaging and maintaining customer relationships and coordinating customer-facing work with the local utilities. The OE also collaborates with other Cascade team members by managing the handoff to engineers for some projects, conducting analysis and authoring engineering reports for other projects, and contributing to peer support and quality control review. We expect that about a quarter of the time will be doing the engineering work.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Engage with clients at their industrial locations to fully understand their equipment and operations and evaluate energy savings opportunities.
  • Influence clients to pursue energy efficient options in their plants and processes.
  • Manage deliverables as specified in the contract and maintain profitability based on a budget.
  • Manage and monitor multiple projects from identification to completion.
  • Identify and evaluate energy savings projects and solicit customer commitments to incentive agreements.
  • Foster and grow client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work from clients.
  • Develop relationships with the utility representatives and help them be successful in their efforts to maintain good client relationships.
  • Track, report, and adjust programs to achieve customer performance goals.
  • Conduct project scoping efforts and author scoping reports using calculation tools.
  • Collaborate with other members of the utility customer and Cascade team to continuously improve processes in order to drive performance and maximize savings for our customer sites.
  • Contribute to the growth of the business through the development of new and existing industry contacts.
  • Continuously develop and implement program services that will result in continued customer program achievements.

This is a full-time, exempt position located in northern Colorado - preferably near Fort Collins or Greeley. Up to 35% time traveling to customer sites Mostly day trips, with some occasional extended travel up to a week at a time traveling to remote locations.
Qualifications
Applicants for this role are required to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with preference for business, finance, engineering or other applicable degree, or, equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-6 years of work experience in a technically focused, customer service role
  • Previous experience managing multiple customers and projects.
  • Experience communicating with, and reporting to, individuals throughout an organizational hierarchy.
  • Experience in the energy industry
  • Engineering or strong technical background

A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:
  • Experience in Oil & Gas industry is a plus.
  • Experience with continuous improvement programs is highly desirable.
  • Management coaching and consulting experience is a strong plus.
  • Direct experience with managing customer accounts, energy optimization, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or ISO 50001 is desired.

Compensation & Benefits
Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. These include health (90% paid for team member, 80% paid for dependents on HDHP plans and 85% paid for team member, 75% paid for dependents on PPO plans), vision, FSA or HSA options with an employer contribution, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401k retirement plan with a guaranteed 3% contribution, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), annual cash performance bonus, paid vacation, sick time, and an inclusive, flexible paid holiday policy.
The salary range for this position in Denver/Fort Collins/Greeley is $ $82,900 - $101,300. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
