Junior Business Insights Analyst

H/L is seeking a Jr. Business Insights Analyst. This position is an opportunity to learn about analytics & begin contributing to client reporting & analysis. This role will work on one or more clients with projects ranging from setting up, and working on, sales and promotion dashboards and creating competitive reports for clients.

• Learn marketing channels
• Learn the basics of sales and product trend analysis
• Learn how to pull reports and organize data into dashboards
• Export, organize, and aggregate data for dashboards
• Update Excel/Tableau dashboards and QA data for accuracy
• Work with more senior analytics team members to analyze performance data and key trends
• Gather and compile competitive trends for internal/external communications

• You have 1-2 years of agency or marketing experience, or an interest in marketing. Self-taught marketing & personal experience is acceptable too!
• You have a strong desire to learn measurement, KPIs, and the relationship of data to marketing
• You’re a strong multi-tasker who can prioritize and manage several projects concurrently
• You’re highly organized and meticulous with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail
• You have Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel using LOOKUP/SUMIF formulas
• You have Intermediate to Advanced skills in Tableau or other similar data visualization tools
• You work well in a team setting
• You have a natural curiosity for continual learning in marketing
• You have the ability to think creatively in order to envision relationships between data
• You have a passion for data and finding unique truths hidden in the sea of numbers
• You have strong logical-thinking skills
• Desired skills include: humility, observation skills, and willingness to ask questions
