Position Description: Junior Analyst

This position will focus on projects aimed at enhancing our understanding of our costs and expenses while maintaining core responsibilities on the Finance team. Responsibilities will include data management within financial systems as well as analyzing the output. This role is a minimum of 20 hours/week during the school year and can be full time during school breaks and summer.

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintain inventory database of 1000 of items ensuring all key data points are accurate.
• Manage accounts payable process for warehouse orders. Match POs and receipts to invoices received.
• Reconcile discrepancies in the inventory system and identify the source of the variance.
• Generate month end analyses by collating information from our financial systems into an excel spreadsheet.
• Analyze data and explain essential insights for the company.
• Communicate effectively & professionally (written and verbal) with people both inside and outside the company.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Cooperate with management to complete any other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance or related analytical field.
• Ability to effectively communicate on the phone and through email/text in a professional and efficient manner.
• Computer skills including the ability to perform advanced functions in excel including pivot tables, lookup functions, etc.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail will be key to success in this role.
• Ability to read, write, clearly speak, and understand English.
• A favorable drug test and acceptable background and driving record are also required.
• This role is onsite in Fridley, MN.

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of QuickBooks, Bill.com, & Divvy is helpful, but not required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Communicates through telephone conversations, email, text and face-to-face interactions.
• The ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• This is a physical position with extensive movement, including, but not limited to bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
• Read printed materials and a computer screen.
• The ability to perform tasks that require hand-eye coordination.
