Dauphin County Court Administrators Office is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Judicial Law Clerk. An employee in this position will assist the Courts and Judge by conducting legal research and drafting opinions, memorandums and letters and assists with other professional legal duties. He/she is also responsible for the following duties: Researches and drafts orders and opinions on a broad range of both civil and criminal issues; researches and drafts memos on issues which require either immediate or extensive review by the Judge; supervises law students interning for credit with Judge's chambers; acts as liaison between the Judge's chambers and counsel; participates as a consultant to the Judge in pre-trial, trial and post-trial proceedings as well as conferences and settlements of civil and criminal matters; and prepares and inputs summaries of all Dauphin County cases into an internal computer system to be used for research purposes.
A three-year law degree, plus admission to the Pennsylvania Bar is required. Good written communication, research and computer skills are also necessary.
