Jr/Sr Accountant

Ed Staub & Sons has openings for professional, energetic, self-motivated Jr. and Sr. Accountants. Applicants must have a general understanding of accounting: A/P, A/R, Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger. Our office environment is team oriented, casual, and fast paced.

Wage will be based upon skills and experience.

Financial Accounting:

• Analyze and reconcile bank statements, ledgers, reports, and financial records
• Recommend and prepare adjustments, journal entries, reports, and fund transfers
• Prepare schedules for various funds and accounts for the Annual Audit; reconcile accounts with audit outcomes
• Prepare work papers and provide supporting schedules/documents
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Analyze transactions for correct coding and assignment of revenues and expenditures
• Analyze and post additions, transfers, and dispositions of capital assets
• Review accounts payable checks and documentation for proper backup and approval
• Study, develop and standardize procedures and policies to improve efficiency and ensure sound financial practices
• Perform related duties as to specific assignments
