Jr. Qc Microbiologist

Position Description:

We are looking for an ideal candidate to join us and independently performs microbial testing on Purified Water, Potable Water, Environmental Monitoring of Production facilities and Microbiology Laboratory, microbial isolate(s) identification, and chemical analyses on Purified Water. Performs testing in accordance with USP/EP, cGMP/GLP, environmental and safety regulations, involving instrumentation, qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform microbial and environmental testing according to written procedures and official compendia in compliance with cGMP, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Perform microbial identification testing using conventional methods / test kits.
• Operate, maintain, qualify, and calibrate the instrumentation/equipment associated with testing.
• Support to be in compliance with the environmental control requirements of GMP/manufacturing areas: environmental control for non-sterile pharmaceutical products, qualification of new or renovated areas, and cleaning validation requirements.
• Perform tasks to maintain microbiology laboratory ready for testing and/or audits.
• Maintain water & environmental monitoring database(s). Review microbial test data reports.
• Participate in activities associated with internal/external audits.
• Assist in preparing technical and annual reports for the Quality Control department, in addition to Standard Operating Procedures and Test Methods.
• Performs other job-related duties as trained/assigned.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge and experience in microbiology laboratories and production areas – preferably in FDA regulated industry. Must have the ability to complete tasks accurately in timely manner and to independently manage multiple activities/projects to meet timelines.

Required Qualifications: B.S. in Microbiology/Biology with 0-5 years of cGMP experience

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per day
