Job description

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services is the largest secretariat in state government and is comprised of 11 agencies and the MassHealth program. Our efforts are focused on the health, resilience, and independence of the one in four residents of the Commonwealth we serve. Our public health programs touch every community in the Commonwealth.  EOHHS services directly touch the lives of slightly more than 1 in 3 residents in the Commonwealth — some of our most vulnerable children, youth, adults, and elders. HHS provides access to medical and behavioral health care, substance misuse treatment, long-term services and support, and nutritional and financial benefits to those with low incomes. We connect elders and individuals with disabilities with employment opportunities, housing, and supportive services. We steer troubled youth towards a more successful path and do everything possible to keep children in our child welfare system safe. We support individuals who are developmentally disabled, mentally ill, blind, deaf, or hard of hearing.POSITION OVERVIEW:
EOHHS (EHS) is developing a strategic plan to streamline and combine its current eligibility and enrollment processes through the One Health initiative. Eligibility and enrollment processes for MAGI members, currently serviced through the Health Insurance Exchange (HIX), and non-MAGI members, currently serviced through the legacy MA21 mainframe system. The system will be modernized on a modular basis, to provide a single point of access for individuals and/or families applying for public health insurance benefits. The modernization will provide common data storage and eligibility determination processes and rules for all Medicaid programs. To develop a plan for the implementation of a single point of access for benefits, EOHHS is undertaking an intensive effort to map the current state of Medicaid and MA21 operations and the systems that support those operations then will port those operations and systems to a new infrastructure.

MA21 is seeking a highly motivated Jr. Pro Man/Release Manager to manage and coordinate release efforts in support of the ongoing MA21 system development efforts and coordinating MA21 mainframe cloud rehosting release activities. The first step in porting operations and systems to a new infrastructure will be to rehost the legacy MA21 mainframe system in the AWS cloud.

The successful candidate will manage the current ongoing MA21 legacy development efforts through development, Integration testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Production deployment. Coordinating these release efforts of the MA21 cloud rehosting project will enable the successful migration of the MA21 legacy mainframe system as a key strategic step toward the future One Health initiative.
