Jr Network Administrator

As a Jr. Network Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, administering, and troubleshooting network equipment and the infrastructure. You will work closely with your team in identifying and repairing potential issues. You will implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices, including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Configuration and installation of network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, QoS).
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Some occasional travel.

• Should have an advanced understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, and should be skilled at configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
• Experience configurating and maintaining a multi-point SD-WAN environment using VeloCloud SDWAN orchestrator.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco switching.
• Experience with Solarwinds network performance monitoring.
• Experience with Aruba wireless products.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to work with a team and individually in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be self-motivated, and willing to take on a variety of projects.

• Cisco networking and design certification (CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent work experience
• Four-year degree or equivalent experience
