Jr. Motion Graphics Artist & Editor

H/L is seeking a skilled and versatile Motion Graphics Artist and Editor to join our in-house production team known as Wolfhouse. Our ideal candidate is proficient in Motion Graphics and video editing. This role requires a creative mind, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the production and creative teams throughout the entire production process. • Edit video content to create engaging and visually appealing final products for all social platforms, internet, and TV
• Integrate Motion Graphics, animations, and visual effects as needed like object removal and green screen compositing
• Manage and organize digital assets, including video files, graphics, and project files
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure proper storage and backup procedures are followed
• Collaborate closely with the creative team to align editing with the project's creative vision and objectives
• Actively participate in creative discussions and brainstorming sessions with the production and creative teams
• Provide input and ideas to enhance the visual storytelling and overall quality of the content
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive and collaborative working environment
• Use creative thinking skills to exhibit a range of varied styles and techniques
• Demonstrate an ability to utilize and stay current with new Motion Graphics and visual effects technologies

• You have at least 3 years of related video/post–Motion Graphics experience, ideally in a studio setting
• You have basic knowledge of post-production workflow and methods
• You’re familiar with color space, bit depth, mattes, chroma-keying, and compositing
• You’re proficient in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and other associated tools and software
• Familiarity with programs like Cinema4D/Blender are a bonus
• You’re familiar with Google Suite and Mac platforms
• You’re solutions-oriented, highly organized, and good at creative problem-solving
• You enjoy working collaboratively and promoting a teamwork environment
• You can handle curveballs, unexpected shifts, and tight deadlines, with resilience while remaining upbeat and focused on delivering quality work
• You’re passionate for the job and have a willingness to learn and grow in the profession
• You demonstrate a high degree of integrity and honesty

For SF Bay Area / CA based candidates, H/L offers a projected salary range for a position as an estimate of what the company believes is a reasonable pay scale. The actual salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on various factors, including the job’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s qualifications, budget availability within the department, internal pay equity, geographic location, and external market pay rates for similar positions. The salary range for this position is expected to be between $68,000–$80,000 per year.
