It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely for three (3) or more days a week and will share a hoteling workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
Summary of the Job:
Are you a motivated team player looking for an opportunity with a highly skilled team of technologists transforming how data is accessed and consumed by customer and employee facing applications in a modern application stack? FNBO is seeking a Jr. Java Developer to join our Operational Data Store team to write Core and Process APIs and microservices in support of our technology transformation. The ideal candidate has enough experience to hit the ground running and a desire to learn and grow their skillset. You work well as part of a dynamic agile team, can work independently, and have a strong desire to deliver outcomes. You are humble enough to know when to ask for help but driven enough to tackle coding challenges head on. Whether at the beginning of your career or an experienced professional you recognize that there is always more to learn and actively pursue new skills.

About This Role:
Key Responsibilities
- Use Java and Spring framework to develop clean and effective APIs and microservices alongside front end technologies including salesforce and react.
- Develop RESTful services and APIs based on architecture guidelines and frameworks
- Write object-oriented, clean, and maintainable code
- Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team to meet development schedules
- Modify existing programs, prepare test data, participate in story refinement and grooming
- Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Qualifications
- Experienced enough to hit the ground running and contribute from day one.
- Proficient with Java and working knowledge of Spring Boot.
- Experience working within an Agile Development Methodology
- Knowledge in working with PaaS ecosystems specifically Cloud Foundry
- Knowledge in implementing and leveraging Microservice Technology Patterns
- API based development
- API Management and Cataloging
- Dynamic service registry and discovery
- Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture Design and RESTful APIs
- Understanding of Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration and Delivery Practices
- You are a builder. A learner. Curious and hungry. A desire to learn.
- You are looking for career advancement opportunities
- Experience with software design principles as well as UI prototype design
- Ability to write quality unit, functional and automated tests
- Experience with Git as a version control system, in conjunction with solutions such as Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Excellent comprehension and communication skills
