About the Role
As the Jr. In-House Attorney at Finfare, you will be an integral part of our Legal & Compliance team at a fast growing fintech start-up. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters in a dynamic and innovative start-up environment. Your responsibilities will span across contract negotiation, corporate governance, client agreements, M&A due diligence, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and maintaining the corporate structure and corporate documents for group entities (based in the US and abroad)
- Review and negotiate various types of agreements (partnerships, vendors, real estate, etc.)
- Draft and update client agreements as well as terms and conditions.
- Coordinate work of external attorneys in the US and abroad.
- Participate in M&A (mergers and acquisitions) due diligence and negotiations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 2-5+ years of experience in corporate law or business law (contract negotiation), ideally experienced in both domains.
- Must be bar certified and licensed to practice law in good standing in California.
- Enthusiasm for corporate law & compliance with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Must be interested in working in a start-up environment.
- Fintech industry experience is nice to have but not required.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80k-$120k (depending on experience).
