Job DescriptionThe Jr. Estimator/Planner at Trafficade/AWP Safety is responsible for supporting and assisting the lead estimators and planners in business unit. Responsibilities include data entry, customer service, reviewing and clarification of proposals, completing estimates including bid documents, determining the project’s scope, and evaluating special conditions affecting the proposal plus building traffic control plans.
- Responsibility for logging data (TCP/TRACS/Hard bids) through direct requests from our customers, account managers, estimators, planners, or anyone involved with our daily operations.
- Log data into TCR and submit TRACS.
- Track and management of hard bids. Sending out hard bid schedule to team.
- Timely following up with customers.
- Answer calls from customers for RFQ and plans.
- Set up credit applications and send to onboarding.
- Estimate and design plans.
- This position will report directly to the Regional Estimating Manager, and you will work closely with him on strategic and growth initiatives for the estimating planner department.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 or 4-year college degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 1-year construction industry experience preferred.
- Organized with an intense focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to develop, foster, and manage customer relationships.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word). Experience with TCR software preferred.

- Organized
- Hours of operation are typically 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., M-F
- 40 + hour workweek
- Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
- Occasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds
- Proficient literacy
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms.
