Job description

Earn weekly pay with BDS!  The Jr. Digital Copywriter will help plan, create, and organize creative and copy for global facets in web, social, and CRM activities in a fast-paced, matrix environment. In this role, you will be expected to have knowledge of and experience using AI content creation tools for a digital audience. You will work closely with project managers, cross-functional stakeholders, content developers, publishers, PR, legal, brand, and other stakeholders to ensure that all content is brand appropriate, aligned with global direction, and approved by the necessary stakeholders. Our ideal candidate can demonstrate proven success in the responsibilities and specific knowledge/skills listed in this job description.

 

This full-time, hybrid role requires 3 days per week on-site at our client’s Chicago office, while 2 days may be worked remotely. This position holds normal office hours (8am-5pm, M-F).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Will be expected to possess a knowledge of AI content creation tools and how to communicate AI-related experiences to a digital audience
  • Create, edit, and suggest new copy for a variety of digital channels across the Motorola portfolio
  • Identify content needs and recommend solutions to support day-to-day publishing priorities, such as social campaigns, product launches, promotions, etc., as well as larger projects
  • Help manage the web editorial calendar, incorporating promotions, product announcements, PR events, sales goals, and customer needs. Plan and help develop content to support the calendar
  • Work closely with internal teams and partner agencies to obtain web assets to meet deadlines for product launches, promotions and other activities
  • Ensure Motorola brand voice and tone guidelines are applied and consistent across content localization process

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent work experience  
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS skills  
  • Experience writing for multiple digital channels – Web, social, CRM, and others
  • Fluent in Google Suite & Microsoft Office
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management tools like Monday.com or Trello
  • Must provide portfolio or personal website for review

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong writing and editing skills. Able to adapt to Motorola’s Voice & Tone guidelines. Able to execute edits requested by multiple teams
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, with good time management skills
  • Diplomatic and flexible in approach
  • Comfortable working with multiple teams, including PR, Brand, Legal, IT, Support and outside vendors and agencies when necessary
  • Comfortable working in fast­paced environments 
  • Proactive and takes initiative and ownership in all work, including getting projects approved
  • Must be able to iterate and plan out ideas quickly
  • Must be highly organized with an attention to detail
