Job Title:
Jr. Metal Fabricator, Full-time (M-F, 8:00 am-5:00 pm)
Job Summary:
Our custom electric car company is seeking a skilled Jr. Custom Metal Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the metal fabrication industry, with a strong focus on custom fabrication techniques. As a Jr. Custom Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality metal components and structures for our custom electric vehicles.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Fabricate metal parts and structures for custom electric vehicles, using a variety of welding and cutting techniques.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create high-quality custom components that meet project specifications.
- Work efficiently with the team and autonomously
- Perform quality checks on completed projects to ensure they meet our company's high standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High attention to detail
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Friendly, punctual, reliable, and a positive attitude
- Passionate about EE vision
- Come up with improvements, eliminate waste in your area, and video before and after
- Keep the area clean, and organized work environment
- Ability to lift & carry 40 pounds
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with a focus on custom fabrication techniques.
- Proficient in a variety of welding and cutting techniques, including TIG welding and plasma cutting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with design and engineering teams.
Required Preparation for Employment:
- Provide a portfolio for review
- Listen to 2 Second Lean: https://paulakers.net/books/2-second-lean within the first week of employment
- Able to use common hand tools and power tools (e.g., drills, wrenches, clamps, etc.)
- Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility
- Required to be able to read documents and prints and specifications
Salary: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
