Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Jr. Accounting Associate. This position, based in Mid-town Manhattan, NY, offers an exciting opportunity for career growth in the field of accounting.
Responsibilities:
The Jr. Accounting Associate will be responsible for performing various accounting procedures, including but not limited to:
- Process and prepare accounts payable transactions.
- Review and enter payables with a high level of accuracy.
- Enter cash receipts into the accounting system.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual manufacturer reports.
- Reconcile purchase orders and ensure accuracy in transactions.
- Manage and track manufacturer rebates efficiently.
- Handle accounts receivables, including invoicing and collection activities.
- Prepare contract audits to ensure compliance with established financial procedures.
- Undertake any related accounting tasks as assigned by the management team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounting procedures and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
