Jr. Accountant Job description
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in math, accounting and financial processes

- Full Accounting cycle.
Education, Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance
- At least 2-3 years' experience in accounting - ideal in a sales & distribution environment
Bilingual: English & Spanish (verbal & writing)
Typical duties of the Jr. Accountant:
- Accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting activities.
- Payroll processing.
- Help keeps organized the accounting records.
- Inventory Cycle counts and Physical inventory analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly tax returns for the IRS, and local governmental agencies.
- Sales & Use tax return preparation (i.e. Municipal & PR Treasury)
- Coordinates and prepares Ad hoc reports for Finance leadership and senior management.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Assists with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the organization.
- Assists with preparations for external audits.
- Uses accounting software & tools (MS Excel, SAP Business 1, QuickBooks, etc.) to maintain records and prepare reports.
- PC literate and must dominate these tools.
