Job description
Fully in charge of all Company's bank reconciliations including follow up and clearing of all outstanding items. Assist in balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports preparation. Advance knowledge of Excel is required.
The job will include, but not limited to:
Intensive Daily Bank reconciliation and cash position for five banks
GL Reconciliation support
Ensuring the timely and correct registration of all incoming invoices
Identification and timely resolution of discrepancies in accounts
Ensuring that there are adequate controls over cash and bank holdings
Follow-up of suspense accounts
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting degree or equivalent
Advance level of Microsoft Excel
Minimum of 3 years' experience with intensive bank reconciliations.
Good understanding of accounting concepts
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Physical requirement, nearly all work is performed indoors/office set up.
Equipment: Reasonable care and operation of standard office equipment such as workstation.
Software and Files: High level of responsibility in data maintenance. Proper procedures will minimize the risk of data loss which translates to loss of income due to operation ceasing.
Reporting: Failure to report major procedural problems may result in loss of profit. Some loss is possible, but exercise of somewhat more than ordinary care can prevent loss.
Business Contacts: Responsible for maintaining good employee relations. Generally, deals with employees, representatives and vendors concerning matters that require some tact and resourcefulness. Contacts with other personnel including Managers and Supervisors.
Routine deadlines: priorities need to be anticipated; frequent interruptions are present
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically
