Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine the layout and installation of Sprinkler systems
- Cut and Thread pipe
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures such as valves, gauges, and pumps
- Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges or other equipment
- Repair or replace damaged or defective pipes, fittings, and fixtures
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as electricians and HVAC technicians to ensure proper coordination of plumbing systems
Skills:
- Proficient in installing pipes and fittings
- Knowledge of power tools used in pipefitting such as pipe cutters, threaders, and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Experience with pipe threading and welding techniques
- Familiarity with codes and standards related to plumbing systems
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate installation of pipe and fittings
