Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Residential / Commercial Journeyman Electrician / Service Tech to join our team of amazing electricians. This position offering is full-time, M-F with some overtime and weekend work necessary. Applicant must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience, a self-starter, able to effectively communicate with customers to determine their needs, & schedule work. Additional hourly wages offered If you have a valid CDL-A or B license. Must report to company office each day (Taneytown, MD). Company provided transportation to / from job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, make repairs & maintain residential customers electrical, lighting & low voltage wiring systems.
- Install new residential wiring systems for new construction, to include: Romex, UF Cable, CAT6 Data Cable, RJ6 Coaxial Cable, PVC and EMT conduit)
- Troubleshoot, make repairs & maintain commercial customers electrical, lighting & low voltage wiring systems.
- Install new Commercial wiring systems for new construction, to include: MC Cable, CAT6 Data Cable, PVC, EMT & GRC conduit)
- Other duties may entail assisting with bucket truck work, operating various equipment for trenching / excavating services, etc.
Must have:
- Knowledgeable / proficient with the use of a PC or Tablet and basic programs like Email, Microsoft word and Excel.
- Highly skilled - Organized - Neat - Good with customers.
- Minimum 10 years previous experience in the Residential industry.
- Successfully passed the Journeyman's electrical exam.
- Work well with others. (Teamwork gets things done!)
- Reliable transportation.
- Must pass random drug and alcohol testing.
- Clean driving and criminal records.
- Basic electrical hand tools.
- Ability to work hard IE: hand dig with shovel, climb stairs / ladders, carry objects weighing 75 pounds.
