Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Use power tools and hand tools to perform electrical work
- Test electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly and safely
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure proper installation of electrical systems
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Qualifications:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Experience with power tools and hand tools used in electrical work
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in renovation or construction projects is a plus
- Frame carpentry or general maintenance person skills are desirable
