Duties:
- Conduct assessments to identify behavioral needs and develop individualized treatment plans for children with special needs, particularly those with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote skill development.
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions to clients, focusing on behavior management, social skills, communication, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation of behavior plans across different settings.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Provide training and support to parents and caregivers on behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and incorporate them into practice.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
- Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and ability to analyze data to inform treatment decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
