Job description

Job Title: Job Placment Specialist

Execute all aspects of the Individual Program Plan (IPP) including intake and attend of IPP’s, meeting with families and other entities, job training, job develop and placing clients to new employment, job coaching and program documentation. Create employer and commercial business relationships for MRJN Associates, promote our services and staffing. Ensure compliance with agency philosophy and all accreditation requirements and applicable local, state, and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform all phases of service delivery, including intake and assessment, establishing IPP goals following in the development of training plans to accomplish the goals, Update IPP or plans as needed with agreement with case managers or counselors, and maintain regular documentation and communication of participant progress.

· Intake, Assess and Develop IPP:

o Complete assessments and work evaluations for enrolled participants, track record this information as goals and objectives onto the appropriate forms, distribute the completed plans to all team members and appropriate service agencies.

o Develop participant IPP and attend ISP meeting, Act as facilitator for all planning and development sessions. assist in identifying program participant needs, interests and future desires.

· Follow all procedures of intakes and exit participants according to intake and exit procedures. Close communication with Team Lead and Officers. Promote to individuals of our services when opportunity arises.

· Implement Training and Monitor Progress

o Maintain and monitor participant master files hard copy to ensure information is update, uploaded into our data base. Utilizing our data base programs to document daily of all activities performed.

o Maintain a solid relationship with referral agencies and maintain all IPP and program plans. Ensure you are completing all proper reports in a timely manner. Utilize all the hours.

o Work with and encourage participants to overcome barriers to employment by solving attendance, behavior, emotional, hygiene or personal problems.

o Determine basic elements of task(s) to be learned and performed by supported participants. Identify possible learning barriers and determine the most suitable training method for each individual.

o Provide orientation to job site for new participant and acquaint them with their surroundings, co-workers, fringe benefits, rights, business rules, policies, and procedures. Teach supported participants self-management skills to enhance their independence and integration at the job site.

o Implement tactic plans to fade away gradually when employment is found for participant and create the natural support needed.

o Formulate plans to extend business with established accounts, to seek new accounts, and to identify business needs. Develop and follow-up employment leads in the community. Contact businesses regarding business/employment opportunities. Determine present and future business/employment opportunities. Make presentations to potential employers about MRJN Associates and its services. Make weekly follow-up contacts to prospective employers.

o Maintain an employer log and document weekly progress reporting of activities performed with employers. Submit weekly production report and new contract proposals to team leader.

o Participate in team meetings, project teams, team training, and team problem resolution.

o Communicate regularly with funding agencies, care providers and families of participants about their needs, programs, and desires.

o Maintain a full caseload

o Build goals with job seeker

o Build relationships with your local community of business owners.

o Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES

Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. They are usually obtained by possessing the following education and experience:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

One -years of sales or marketing

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and Procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, family members of program participants or employees of the organization.

Other Abilities:

Ability to Problem solve and deal with a variety of different situations and where immediate supervisor may not be readily available. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram or schedule form.

Training and other requirements

· Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

· Valid and current Washington State Driver’s license

· Proof of automobile insurance if a vehicle is driven.

· Ability to pass the Washington State Criminal Background Check

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is needing to type using his fingers, and hands, do a lot of walking, standing, and occasionally climb and work side by side with participant assisting them in their work task, which may mean to lift more than 25 lbs.
