Job Coach - Employment Supports For Adults

Known as The Business of Hopes and Dreams, Mains’l has the privilege of offering person-centered individualized hourly support to our community. 

The role of a Job Coach is to guide people to greater independence in the community through practical job training. We seek passionate Job Coaches to assist supported employees who receive services, teaching them vocational, social, and self-advocacy skills. This position is part-time to start (25 hours a week) with the potential to be full-time in the future 

The Job Coach will be responsible for:

• Provide administrative assistance to the Job Developer.
• Providing Job Coaching to individuals while they perform their duties In their community internship or place of employment. 
• Supporting individuals with learning new tasks, and navigating professional boundaries and relationships.
• Supporting staff team members with Job Coach training. 
• Act as a liaison between community business partners and Mains’l by providing Job Coaching and inclusive community training. 

The skills the Job Coach should have:

• Clear oral and written communication
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify, understand, or learn various learning styles and apply this to knowledge on an individual basis
• Basic technology skills
• Dependable/ time management skills to make sound decisions while out in the field
• Adaptable to various environments

Requirements:

• Valid Drivers’ license
• Reliable transportation with valid insurance coverage
• Ability to pass a background check through the Department of Human Services

Pay scale:  Starting rate: $16.00 per hour ($16.25 after 90 days and completion of new hire training)

Maximum Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour based on years of experience at Mains'l
