AddressSweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of pro audio gear and musical equipment, is seeking a motivated and friendly, customer-facing Food Service Cook for the team in our Upbeat Diner. Sweetwater’s scratch kitchen plays a significant role in exemplifying Sweetwater’s values - providing excellent diner service, and professional customer service to both internal and external customers. The Downbeat diner offers breakfast, lunch, and items made to order to the 1500 customers that choose to dine with Sweetwater. The ideal candidate would bring previous kitchen experience or a deep desire to learn from classically trained chefs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepping and cooking food from scratch
- Taking and preparing customer orders
- Delivering customer orders accurately and timely
- Cleaning and sanitizing prep areas in the kitchen daily
- Collaborating with kitchen staff and Campus Experience teams to ensure that customers are satisfied with the service
- Memorizing the rotating menu to provide guests with appropriate food recommendations based on allergy concerns
Job Qualifications:
- Ability to execute basic cooking techniques
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to manage one's tasks independently while also working collaboratively with a team when needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Flexibility with scheduling between our two dining locations
- Ability to work successfully and efficiently in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
- High standards for organization and cleanliness
