Job Description
A manufacturing company known for its smart technologies is currently seeking a Japan E-Commerce Account Manager to work at their Torrance office to oversee their Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business in Japan.

- Bilingual skills in English and Japanese is a MUST
Requirements of the Japan E-Commerce Account Manager:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Business-level language ability in BOTH Japanese and English
- Previous E-Commerce experience (in either DTC sites or Retailer E-Commerce sites) is a plus
- Familiarity with Search Engine Marketing (SEM) across platforms, including Google Ads
- Demonstrated interest or experience in SEM and/or digital marketing
- Analytical and enjoys immersion in data and deriving trends and recommendations with analysis
- Some experience in consumer products, E-commerce sales, or in an analytics role is also a plus
- Tech-savvy; Comfortable with using Excel and Proficient at numerical analysis
- Has articulate and precise communication
- Loves problem-solving and strategizing
- Possesses a strong and critical sense of digital design and aesthetic, as related to website usability and functionality
Responsibilities of the Japan E-Commerce Account Manager:
- This role will oversee the company’s business with Amazon Japan, the company’s Japan website, and other online marketplaces for the Japanese market (Rakuten)
- Build and optimize paid search advertising and marketplace advertising for current and new products
- Continuously implement effective A/B tests to optimize conversion rates
- Run and optimize other types of paid marketing including Facebook and Instagram ads
- Optimize website content, visual assets, and UI/UX functionality
- Manage website merchandizing and fulfillment
- Report key learnings and major takeaways to internal and external stakeholders
- Increase sales and profitability for existing digital accounts
- Continuous review of digital accounts and competitor digital product listings to identify best practices and areas in need of attention
- Enhance the company’s product and brand presence on websites
- Excel analyses to asses product and/or initiative performance and to identify opportunities
- Implement Social Media Digital Marketing tasks to drive traffic to the company’s Japan website
- Other related duties may also be assigned
